About Keeper of the Grumper Foundation
Keeper of the Grumper Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to electronics recycling, reuse, and community support. Our operations help keep reusable items out of landfills while generating support for youth leadership and community programs.
We are looking for a dependable and organized Part-Time Shipping / Listing Associate to join our team.
The primary responsibility of this position is shipping customer orders and listing merchandise for sale online.
Main Responsibilities
Shipping — Primary Responsibility
Most of your working time will be spent preparing and shipping customer orders.
Responsibilities include:
- Pull and locate items from inventory.
- Verify that the correct item is being shipped.
- Safely package merchandise for shipment.
- Select appropriate boxes and packing materials.
- Print and attach shipping labels.
- Process orders accurately and efficiently.
- Track shipments and update order information when necessary.
- Inspect items before shipping to make sure they match the listing.
- Keep the shipping area clean and organized.
- Help prevent shipping errors by carefully checking each order.
Online Listings
When there are fewer orders to ship, you will spend your extra time listing merchandise for sale online.
Responsibilities include:
- Photograph merchandise.
- Create online listings.
- Write clear and accurate descriptions.
- Research basic product information when necessary.
- Enter prices and other product information.
- Accurately describe the condition of each item.
- Photograph and disclose any damage or defects.
- Organize items after they have been listed.
- Maintain accurate inventory information.
Customer Service & Donations
From time to time, you will also help with customers and donations.
Responsibilities may include:
- Answering the business telephone.
- Directing customer calls to the appropriate employee.
- Greeting customers.
- Helping customers with electronics donations.
- Assisting customers who are dropping off donations.
- Helping unload or move donated items when needed.
- Providing friendly and professional customer service.
- Answering basic questions about our donation and recycling services.
- Asking a manager for assistance when a customer has a question outside of your responsibilities.
Qualifications
Required:
- Reliable and dependable.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good organizational skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Comfortable learning online listing and shipping systems.
- Able to safely pack and ship merchandise.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift and move boxes and merchandise as needed.
- Willingness to answer the phone and assist customers and donors when needed.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Must pass a background check.
Pay & Benefits
$16–$18 per hour
Pay is based on experience and qualifications.
